Cajun Creamy Shrimp Sauce Steak
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 pound steak (such as sirloin, ribeye, etc.)
- Cajun seasoning, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 ounces shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth (or dry white wine)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Reggiano cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
Instructions
-
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with Cajun seasoning to taste, then sear it on both sides until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Set aside.
-
Reduce heat to medium, add butter, and let it melt before adding the shrimp. Cook the shrimp until they turn pink on both sides, about 1-2 minutes per side. Set aside.
-
Add the garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
-
Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan using a wooden spoon.
-
Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Cajun seasoning. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about a minute.
-
Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted into the sauce.
-
Stir in the lemon juice, parsley, and cooked shrimp. Serve the creamy shrimp sauce over the steak.
