Cranberry Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (14 ounces) jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
  5. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until smooth and heated through.
  6. Add the cooked meatballs to the saucepan and gently toss to coat them in the cranberry sauce.
  7. Let simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy!
