Koshari



Ingredients

  1. 1 cup rice

  2. 1 cup lentils

  3. 1 cup pasta (such as penne or fusilli)

  4. 1/2 cup olive oil

  5. 1 chopped onion

  6. 2 minced garlic cloves

  7. 1 teaspoon mixed spices (such as cumin, coriander, and cloves)

  8. Salt and black pepper to taste

  9. 1/4 cup tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice, lentils, and pasta thoroughly.

  2. Boil the rice, lentils, and pasta in hot water until cooked.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

  4. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and stir until the onion turns golden brown.

  5. Add the mixed spices to the pan and stir.

  6. Add the tomato sauce to the pan and mix well.

  7. Combine the rice, lentils, and pasta with the onion, garlic, and sauce mixture.

  8. Serve the Koshari hot.
