Sesame Brioche Buns
Ingredients:
- 1 kg white flour
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 tbsp dry yeast
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- Anise seeds & sesame seeds
Preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, warm water, yeast, and 1 tbsp flour. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest until the mixture activates and bubbles.
- Add oil, eggs, salt, anise seeds, and sesame seeds, then gradually incorporate the flour.
- Mix until you get a sticky dough—there's no need to knead; just bring the dough together.
- Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes or more until it doubles in size.
Shaping & Baking:
- Grease your hands with oil and shape the dough into small balls, placing them on a baking tray.
- Let them rise again until well-proofed.
- Brush the buns with a beaten egg mixed with a drop of vinegar or milk, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown.
